Payment Options

Though home support services are less expensive than nursing homes and assisted living facilities, we understand that the cost of service can still be an obstacle for some families. That’s why we at CareCo Shoreline are committed to providing affordable service to our clients and to helping you and your family find the best possible way to cover the cost of services.

While we always accept credit cards(Amex, Discover, Visa, Master Card) and debit card as methods for private (out-of-pocket) pay, we also invite you to consider one or more of the alternative funding methods listed below. Please feel free to contact us if you need help understanding or deciphering the sometimes-complicated processes and policies involved in qualifying for financial support. We are happy to help.

Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders (CHCPE)

The CHCPE program provides a wide variety of services to Connecticut residents who are age 65 or older, including:

  • Connecticut Community Care (CCC)
  • Agency on Aging (AoA)
  • Money Follows the Person (MFP)

The CHCPE program has a three-tiered structure through which individuals can receive home care services, which may include direct state funding and/or funding through a federal Medicaid waiver program. Each category has specific eligibility requirements including income and asset requirements.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Many long-term-care insurance policies provide for non-medical home-care services to assist with the activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and feeding. You will need to check if your policy covers direct payment or reimbursement for these types of services. We work with a large variety of long-term insurance carriers and are here to help you if you need assistance deciphering your policy. Our staff can assist you with reviewing your coverage options, verifying your eligibility, and helping you arrange payment processes with your insurance carrier.
